// Fashion in Fortnite //
As mentioned last week - I will focus my LinkedIn updates towards creating Branded (fashion) experiences through gaming platforms - using Fortnite, which is built on @Epic's UnrealEngine, as an example.
While last year was mainly about CREATING the digital outfits (check aronversteeg.com), going forward I want to explore how these outfits can actually add value to Brands in digital worlds.
Why Fortnite? After launching 6 years ago, it has made $26 billion in revenue with 236 million players engaging every month. Adding to that, Epic has launced UEFN - Unreal Editor for Fortnite - which allows their community to build customized levels and experiences. As an obvious result, companies like Nike are allocating huge budgets to support the creation of Digital experiences and assets - bridging to the physical world by adding play-to-earn incentives or offering exclusive ownership through NFT's . More about those concepts later.
Below is a simplified example of what a Branded experience in Fortnite could look like - a fashion themed setup in which a player can interact and earn rewards. Again, this is just a quick example - my focus will be on showing how this technology works and build Branded and playable concepts/experiences along the way.
Feel free to share your ideas - maybe I can add them to the demo's!
